Well, not really, but here's the deal. I'm trying to enter a fiction contest with a very nice $5000 grand prize and I've finished my entry but it needs some serious editing to be a contender. (It's 650some words too long, for starters orz)

So I'm looking for people to beta on any level. Big picture plot, characterization, and overall flow people would be amazing. And smaller picture sentence flow and grammar folks are definitely needed too. Anyone in between is also welcome to lend a hand, even if just in a "Well, I really liked it but what was up with X and Y?" sort of way.

For details on the story, it's about werewolves (well, one werewolf), and it takes place in an almost-like-the-real-world modern day setting. No onscreen sex, but there is some onscreen violence, especially at the end. If any takers would comment here or drop me a line at my gmail, I'd love you forever. I have googledocs and I'm not afraid to use it. :Dd

I got made an alternate for JET. This is good! ...and yet my life will be virtually on hold until December. But the paperwork is all sent off as of yesterday so all I need to do is wait for the call. I expect the first ones will go out around the 24th... because odds are at least one of their first picks will miss that all important paperwork deadline.

In original fic news I've been working on scattered scenes in Fox Tale. Things will most definitely change as the fic progresses and I solidify the twists I'm putting on the mythologies and abilities of the characters but the basics of the world as of now are this:

Now I must flail and fret and worry and prepare. It's Tuesday, Feb 17th at 4:30pm. So much for maybe spending some extra time being touristy in NYC. I mean, I still could but I have to be back in Buffalo at like, noon on Wed in order to ah... not miss class.

They're supposed to be contacting me about the date *FLAILFLAIL* this next week. SO EXCITED. And also nervous. BUT EXCITED.

ohgod the interview candidate list is SO LONG lakfj so much competition. I need to start preparing, yes I do. I have no idea what this interview will be like ack.

Well, not really woes but arrgh, they want so much stuff. And all the medical questions make me go "They don't want people with chronic illness, do they? Damn, I'm screwed!"

I'm mostly just mentally running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to make an application that they'd want to hire me after seeing.

But hey, if anyone on my f-list has any advice I'm more than happy to hear it!
